I never said anything about massclaim! I was pretty surprised that you suggested something like that! I was waiting for you to tell us whatever you were going to ask Nanook though, before judgement.
Youâre right. You mentioned something about nanookâs massclaim push in the ds9 game, and Mantis asked if there was a way for the roles to interact and coordinate to townâs benefit, and I got it snarled in my mind.
I should go to sleep, I guess.
I donât want Wonder Woman to claim.
I donât think itâs completely useless, but yeah it wonât tell you much about anyoneâs alignment.
Urist is being cautious regarding the potential weakness, which is fair, but then itâs up to WW to decide if the weakness can be overcome some other way (or if itâs not crippling enough). After all, only WW and the Scum Team know the weakness, and it might prove to be completely debilitating. So I would just wait and see. The idea itself is fine (if one does not take the weakness into account).
I agree about a mass claim btw. Clearly a terrible idea. But just Wonder Woman claiming is not a bad one, if the weakness is manageable. Obviously if the time travel is applied, you would be forced to lynch WW I would think. Not a guaranteed outcome in my mind but probably the easiest way to avoid any issues.
The outrage is unfounded, but thereâs some early jumping to conclusions going on in here. Urist raised a very valid point. Does that not count for anything?
The deadlines in this game are fast. I suppose thatâs a good thing? Certainly a change of pace to DS9.
MS, why is the first thing you thought of that WW should claim? The first thing that I would do as Scum is scan the list of weaknesses and find the easiest one to exploit (given the Scum Teamâs abilities), and try to find a way to discern who is who. Itâs certainly possible that WW has the easiest to exploit weakness in this game.
Because WW is the only role that is alignment indicative.
That weakness thing came to mind, but I also noted that we have top-tier protective roles in the game, such as a Doc and a Watcher, who could protect the WW-now-IC. Iâm not sure what the weaknesses do, but, unless they can make someone change alignment, itâll be good if there is someone we can trust without having to constantly doubt their motivations and intentions! I mean, you guys are (and rightfully so) doing it for me. It IS tiring!
Iâm not very clear how the weaknesses affect other characters other than my own. Iâll have to check privately with Nanook about this. Since, I believe, itâs likely not in anyoneâs interests to expand further about this subject
Yeah but I mean, not to blow your spot or anything, but clearly youâre not WW. Otherwise, you would have weighed the weakness against the benefit of being Confirmed Town in this game, and made a choice for yourself, instead of asking. Anybody reading the game setup closely should be able to realize this. I just think youâve helped potentially narrow the field for who is who in a way that might not be all that helpful to Town.
And I get the Town motivation you describe, but I can also see the Scum motivation. Thatâs all.
The Doc is a one-time shot though. And surely the Scum Team is not silly enough to go after WW N1, should WW actually claim (too obvious a target).
Also, even though it would make sense for the Doc to be Town-aligned, thereâs really no way to be sure in this game. So I would be careful with that.
If the scum team wonât be going after WW N1, what exactly is the risk of claiming? Since, well, dying is struck off the list.
Thatâs not necessarily the case! I could be the WW myself trying to generate discussion to find the scum, and skip RVS; and, if heat ever turns up (hopefully unnecessary), I could claim! You never know
I was almost killed N1 in Deep Space 9 because of my âsooper dooper powerâ claim! But ultimately _fferyllt won the contest.
Well, the obvious caveat to my statement is if they have the sneaky guy. Then the Watcher, theoretically Town aligned, is useless. Itâs also a good way to force the Doctor to make an early call. Not the worst outcome perhaps, but one that as Town is hard to properly analyze because you simply donât know who is who.
The sneaky guy (Batman for me) is a rolecop. Itâs useless for town but incredible for the scum (because of aforementioned weaknesses)! If scum have that role, we have bigger things to worry about!
The obvious, public âweaknessâ of WW is that their IC-status is immediately voided upon the use of the time travel by The Flash. Which, brings me to my next question that I want to put on the table: When should Time Travel be used in the game, if at all, considering itâs bastard effects?
Hiyo guys, Mylo is in the house
WOAH thereâs already way too many posts lol. Let me try to catch up.
WOAH Urist is being weird lol. But like I have no idea if thatâs like a town or scummy trait at all from them, Iâve only played one game with them and I was still in my Letâs lurk and expect everything to be okay phase lol.
