@ActionDan we probably should have lied about the numbers and said CC’ing was optimal whoops. I’ll pretend that was my initial plan. I’m actually washed up.
Uhh I thought this game has only 1 ability able to be used, so why are you planning for a scenario where both a combat medic and a vengeful activate? I mean I could have definitely misread stuff though so better for me to comment on this early.
If you’re scum, be washed up, if you’re town be performing.
I find this question somewhat odd, since we should be looking for the people most likely to be scum in this game, and looking at a hypothetical best scum combo will then put blinders on the current events.
I think this statement is pretty false, other than andres saying he can’t read me well. But uh spoilers, don’t listen to someone who can’t read me to explain my meta. In general I’m a town player that likes to play mind games with scum to get them to mess up… The main caveat to that strategy is it only can be implemented in game formats that give me room to make bluffs, i.e. closed games or open games with key power roles. As scum, I listen to my scumbuddies and follow their lead.
I’m not sure wut’s going on with all of elli’s math, I might look at it later, too busy mulling over other peep’s tone rn.
Oh, agreed. This question is really just a conversation starter since not much else was going on and Elli hadn’t really posted much game-related yet at that point.
But the question isn’t completely without use for the current game. It gives a clue on his thought process for finding scum and what he views as important traits for scum. And if he is scum, he might try to name his partner as one of the scum as both a way to distance and to shade the other town (of course, this was before I realized this was flipless).
The fact that he completely avoided answering anything related to the scum part and just focused on the CM role was interesting. On the surface, this seems scummy, but people who know him better might be able to say whether answering questions this way is normal for him.
I’m wondering how you came up with these percentages. Did you do the calculations yourself, or did you find them somewhere? Can anyone confirm these?
Haha, the thing is, if you are scum, you could be using the figures to push the CM towards claiming. I hope we can resolve whether claiming is a good idea or not before the CM actually does claim.
Okay, I guess there’s been enough posts to start ISOs for some people.

On the surface, I thought this was a towny concern. But as I thought about it, I could also see this as a way to shade the most-skilled players as scum. Because if the list has a lot of skilled players and there are only 2 scum, wouldn’t the chances actually be better for town? Even if both scum happened to be skilled, there would still be other skilled players among town to counter this.
Of course, this depends on the historical ability for town to solve and win on this site. If even the skilled players aren’t really all that good at reading the others, then yeah, this will be tough.
This answer gives me a town vibe. I don’t think scum would just say they are avoiding answering a question. And he didn’t even give the explanation for why until I prompted him further.
This is a legitimate concern if you want to take advantage of possibly different viewpoints towards solving. Scum would have no problem trying to sway my opinion.
Then there were all those posts tn5421 made involving mech in which he was confused about how the powers worked. This doesn’t seem likely coming from scum. I think scum partners would have worked out the details better.
Yeah agreed. Has Elli used facts and figures as scum in any past games? I get the impression that he’s a data-driven, facts & figures guy in general. Not sure how this plays out as scum.
I think pointing out these 2 details about the rules is townish. It kind of shows that he was approaching the rules with a town-centric focus. In particular, the CM cop check is one of our only ways to get results.
Then this attitude of assuming we won’t yeet the CM seems town with positive attitude towards solving. I don’t see scum bothering to make this assumption.
Breshke doesn’t have much else for posts and I’d like to see more from him. Hopefully we can see some reads later. For now though, I would give him a town lean and wouldn’t be looking to him as D1 yeet.
