Dengeki Bunko UCanPick [TOWN + SURVIVOR WIN]

UNVOTE: skitter

Alright so I think I’m going to reveal something about my role because thinking about it in relation to Dans really weird totally not masons claim and having read the history of the characters he mentioned it seems a bit intriguing to me when I think about a portion of my role which is a one shot and allows me to pick three players to disallow protection on for two night phases. Now I always thought that was a weird one shot for a townie to have, but if there is some sort of tandem SK duo with protection capabilities it makes a bit more sense for me to have this nullification power.

Thoughts?

VOTE: nanook

On a reread I find he’s overall a bit wishy washy.

I am 100% lynching you if you make me immune to protection. You would completely gimp me.VOTE: Unvote

VOTE: Screenplay

Also

Claims scum
Claims anti-town role

I was never planning on using it because it seems anti-town to make like a quarter of the game unprotectable for two nights and I have other aspects to my role which are more useful for town

ngl that sounds like a scumrole

Yeah and I understand that, but again I have other aspects to my role, and I 100% would not claim that shit on day one if I was scum. The only reason I’m doing it now is because whoever pointed out that masons know who eachother are doesn’t make sense with Dans claim and it seems more like he’s trying to find a partner than anything

you might want to read the sample role pm, or theoretically, your own.

I’m pretty sure you’re wrong about Dan.

@VCbot please :slight_smile:

With 12 alive, it takes 7 to lynch.

Erika let’s lynch nanook.
You help me and I’ll help you tomorrow

I’m not even sure what this means

So I’m finally getting to respond to this. I have a few issues with your response.

  1. You say that you find some of Mantis’s posts townie, but that it doesn’t redeem her scumminess in your eyes. You also say that you’d proxy the read to someone who knows her more, but you don’t have any other strong scumreads. That’s fine and all, but I still have an issue with the fact that you don’t seem to be reconsidering your stance at all. What it looks like to me is a grapeshot of competing reasons of town vs. scum with no visible internal conflict of your read. It looks like you’re giving yourself reasons to switch to either side of the fence if the need arises.

  2. You say that you’re not being overly cautious, but thatI’m reading your playstyle as scummy because of your natural manner of speaking, as well as because of your reluctance to unvote Mantis and push somebody else. My point here wasn’t that your caution is scummy, but that people (Nanook, Andres & catspurr I think) who are saying that you’re not scum because you’re not cautious here are full of shit, and that I don’t understand how they can read your actions or words as non-cautious. I get that some people play cautiously as town, but they are town-reading you because they think you’re not being cautious, which is totally incorrect.

  3. I accused you of not wanting to engage Erika, and you said that Erika’s response of ā€œI voted cats because he’s easier to read than Andresā€ was reasonable. I disagree because I think I’d do the opposite and try to sort the guy whom I have trouble reading. Besides, the onus is not on me to say why I think it’s unreasonable, since you’re the one who started this discussion by saying that it was. This is mostly irrelevant now, but why do you think that what Erika said was reasonable?

Why don’t you think that DS could simply be trying to intimidate Mantis into backing down, or nervous about her push on him and lashing out? Is there anything in particular that rings genuine for you?

yeahhh maybe. There don’t seem to be any other conflicts going on, which is worrying. Even Nanook seems to be taking potshots at Mantis without voting her.

Exactly! Results don’t lie! So what if I’m wrong 3 times out of 4 and accidentally derail guaranteed scum lynches as town, as long as I end up winning none of it matters!
