MS, you are just existing in the thread. Where’s your vote going to?
I genuinely do not know another way to play the game except to point out things I find shady. I’m not really sure why this is an issue, and I think it’s stupid that it is.
I don think ‘fun guy’ is alignment indicative.
How about you give us a read of him this game?
And while you are at it, how about a whole heap of reads?
Take your time, we have plenty.
it might go to josh
I’ve been pretty clear why—it’s because a) you’re scum, b) your game to this point of reading reflects your scum meta more than your town meta, and finally, c) you’re scum.
Also—talking is scummy now, apparently? That’s a great approach. Don’t scumread somebody because you’re too lazy to read a longer post.
Let scum resolve him (or not) and ignore him until we’re at LYLO, then we treat him like a normal player. Better than a “fuck it let’s lynch our claimed miller because meh” kill, that’s just…silly.
Not true—cats consciously holds himself back as a scum player. There’s a tangible distance and reservation in his thinking that is reflected in his posting that isn’t present when he’s town. It’s a difficult at times read to make, but it is the best way to read cats given his…slightly off kilter style.
what are you talking about here Nanook? in reference to skitter’s posts?

You haven’t seen me play the start of a game yet, so you don’t actually know how my style progresses as the game goes along.

I feel like I have been fairly combative…I haven’t had time to engage properly due to RL, that is true…and the people I’ve been combative towards are a trolling black hole of inscrutable annoyingness (screen), and an inscrutable trench of half thought out nigh-impossible to parse sentences (cats). But yeah, I feel like I’ve been combative where I want to be—there has to be a point to it, after all, it’s stupid and obnoxious to go around picking fights just to pick fights.
Because if you are referring to what cats said about skitter’s post --> he wasn’t scum reading them. He said that the text worry him. And they also worry me as well. I hate walls of text and I kind of just feel like town naturally post as they read and as they go. So walls of posts, and thought out answers/questions tend to make me look twice as well. But he never said it was scummy of her.
I think you are wrong Nanook
Killing toxic town is ONLY acceptable if we truly have no scum reads and are raising the policy lynch white flag of impotence.
In other words: we only get so many mislynches, if you think somebody is toxic town but not scum, you ignore them, you don’t kill them.
Yes. There’s a link to show the post I’m replying to in my post.
I didn’t say that I didn’t think he was scum
This is a mucho eww vote count, btw.
He said he could be scum hiding behind walls of text. That’s not exactly scumreading, I am guilty of using lame hyperbole to get my point across, but the point is a good one—for most players, you should judge based on quality, not quantity. Unless skitters scum meta is to post huge walls as scum but not as town, there’s no reason to call him/her out purely for having longer posts.
Also, I don’t see anything that cats has done that screams scum, or looks overly scummy. Can you explain more on why you think he is scum?
(For the record, I am reading your certainty and push as towny - but I don’t agree on it).
By the by, this is crappy and shitty logic and I hope you never lynch based off of it. “Long posts must be scummy because they’re thought out, and town prefers to play stupid than think things out!”
Or, like, some people catch up all at once in one big post instead of a bunch of smaller ones. That’s a style thing, not an AI thing, for like 99% of players.
