Urist and I are engaging in the following bet:
We will secretly rank the remedial players in their first assignment. Whoever gets closest to the actual rankings, wins the money. The way this is judged is by taking the difference between each players real ranking from the ranking we selected, and summing those differences. Whoever has the lowest number is judged to be the winner.

This would be true if we could give a BP vest to someone who we all agree is most likely Town. But that gets easier as the game moves along, after Scum have potentially accumulated $ by killing players.

We wouldn’t give any player a Vig Shot they can freely use - that’s ridiculous. We would determine the Shot via poll. Any deviation gets you Lynched the next day.

It’s the only way this plan works. Otherwise I’m not sending money to anybody.

The poll would be conducted after the money is exchanged and the Vig determined to ensure that no amount of complaining results in the Vig not occurring. The one issue now that I think about it is that the Vig obviously can’t be killed in this way, so we have that to solve.

a) the point is more to rid the game of money in a way that’s controllable by town. I ran a very similar mechanic in Forging of the Rings; most of the time, scum will accumulate funds quicker than town by killing the hammerer, etc.
b) Elli is wrong, vigs are awesome.
