For the second question,

@GTacc picked Carlsen, and extolled his score in the BERLIN DEFENSE

@StarV picked Nepomniachtchi, but neglected to speak about his opening repertoire at all

and

@DoggoPlays submitted Grischuk, extolling his score with the Black pieces.

Doggoplays gets the point, because Grischuk indeed is very hard to defeat, and therefore must have excellent openings!
