Everyone who wants to play will pm me their Star Wars name and divide up a total of 5 points between the four categories of skills available. You can place as many or as little points as you want in each category, but must use all five points. The more points you have in a power, the more powerful of a force power/lightsaber technique you will rand. To offset everyone just stacking one skill, the more skills you have points in, the more powers/techniques you will have (though they will be weaker techniques the more you spread yourself out.)
With that said, there is one limitation to the skill set point distribution. Alter abilities are only taught to Jedi’s who have trained in Sense and Control, so you must place points in those two categories to place points in Alter.
Here are the categories and some Wookiepedia information on them.
Control
Summary
The Jedi Order’s teaching method began with the aspect of Control, taught to Jedi Initiates as a way to open their minds to the Force and establish a base point for further development. The theme of Control was centered on the ability to control one’s own body, as self control was the starting puoint for all Jedi teachings. Development of these skills would continue throughout a Jedi’s life, as the basics of all other disciplines of Force use began here. One of the most well known side-effects of mastering the discipline of Control was prolonged life and the avoidance of decay.[2]
Three main abilities were centered around Control: tutaminis , curato salva , and altus sopor . These three umbrella abilities incorporated many of the abilities Jedi used throughout their service to the Republic.[2]

Throughout the millennia since the lightsaber’s creation, the art of dueling with them developed into seven “classic” forms and numerous other styles. It was difficult to master for a number of reasons, one of them being that all of the weight a lightsaber had was in its hilt. It had been said that only a Force-sensitive individual could completely master lightsaber combat, though there have been some great non-force sensitive duelists, such as Pre Vizsla, or General Grievous. All seven traditional lightsaber forms included the same basic techniques as ancient sword-fighting styles, such as defensive postures, overhand strikes, parries, and counters.[1] A riposte was a technique where the user struck an opponent after deflecting or blocking an attack.[2]
i kinda want to change this idea to a build our own jedi game
everyone has a set level ofpoints they can put into a number of different force powers to level up those powers, and then the Jedi/Sith are randed and its a mafia game from then on
I think I’ll be finalizing the specifics of the setup this week and give everyone the time to think about how they want to build their Jedi, and then maybe we start either after Christmas or like on Christmas Eve with the first day phase being an extended phase like 72 hours or something
