game can be separated into a few brackets.
[ds, me, tommy]
[nanook, actiondan]
[starv, tn, m2h, andre]
top is all town
middle is people who are town or not worth going after
bottom is wolf pile
there’s 3 pretty similar players in the botton pile. m2h, starv, and andre all are throwing out pretty similar tells that is easily reminiscient of shitty mafia. noncommital reads, passive and opportunistic pushes, and a tendency to stray from conflict while also discrediting the person pushing them into that conflict.
starv is a vote i like specifically because of the hesitation towards answering tommy’s question. after coming into the thread with a weak entrance, it’s clear they have no desire to effect gamestate and actually process out appropriate reads with good intentions. their goal is to sidle alongside town and nudge them towards mislynches while they sit back.
with m2h, his backing off tommy during their early game conflict is a big contrast to how nanook effected it. instead of continuing in the same aggressive vein, they just made a compromise and then refused to interact with tommy for a while while also just making level 1 with the occasional level 2 post. no real insight, no thoughts that really dig below the surface, and passitivity is all pretty wolfy.
andre’s entrance felt forced and ugly. he’s more of a player that tonally reads townie, and that’s why his entrance feels so bad. i specifically recall a post where he was goading someone into scumreading ds by a presumably innocent question iirc like “you think this is ds’ scum meta” or something along those lines.

I don’t know about specifically avoiding, but I found more interesting things to do.

tbh I’ve just gotten into shouting matches with Tommy so many times that at this point I’ve realized that it isn’t productive to try to keep him on topic.
