Philosophically I see mafia as fairly similar to something like competitive rock paper scissors where people are just trying to improve on randomness over time.
The optimal play for both sides is to randomly choose one player to vote each day unaminously, which results in a 50% winrate. If you try and direct the vote, you make a huge target of yourself.
You shouldnât try and help obe side because the 50% that you arenât that side, you get fucked in the ass.
Suppose youâre omnipresent and youâre playing with a bunch of people who act equivalently to random.
When town you direct the vote onto mafia twice - town wins every game
When mafia you direct the vote on town and then get lynched the next day - you still win 1/2 the time.
The act of trying to direct the randomness should be considered pro-scum then, unless it is coming from a confirmed town.
Yes
Itâs ok some of us like you anyway
Oh hey
My favorite sort of game
