I think you’re misreading it (or we’re just misinterpreting wut each other is saying slightly).

Jake is giving a copy of his role power away, he’s not using one of his night 1night2/night3 powers.

But I guess in that sense, the other scum he gifted his role to can’t use the extra kill until night 3.
