Vote me then.
Unless there’s a different majority lynch option I don’t mind being miss lynched.
If UFO is mafia he gets lynched tomorrow.
If UFO is fake Claiming he claims it tomorrow.
Look at it this way.
It’s one of 3 Options.
- I’m Mafia
2)UFO is Mafia
3)UFO is fake Claiming the cop role and is a different town role
It’s sad UFO decides to get rid of Me.
But I suppose I should be proud of myself that he fears me to the point he fakes a cop check on me.
We’re all in agreement here that there’s nothing in the rules to suggest a crab could ever have a false positive sneakily given to them by scum, right?
That was worded very awkwardly. I meant that there’s nothing in the rules to suggest that a crab should ever second guess a red check, right?
Targeted by centaur maybe? I don’t know if you’d know who you were receiving your result on though
playing mafia in class smh
…You supposedly got a result on me last night. There’s an interpretation of this that makes sense but you really aren’t filling me with confidence here.
But the rules for the Centaur say “and their ability will be activated with a random target.” That doesn’t say anything about the ability not working properly. The random target would still check red if scum (unless a twin half the time). I’m not seeing anything that would force a red check when there shouldn’t be one.
She’s specifically talking about if a centaur forced me to use my ability on a random person. But the crab already works by selecting a random target anyway. So I have no reason to believe that anything fundamentally would change.
We can check with Nanook if people really want but it seems pretty clear to me that it doesn’t give an intended target and a result for actual target. It seems like it’d be whoever the final target was and their alignment. Red is red.
I’d be surprised if Centaur even messes with the target given that it’s random to begin with. (Maybe it shoots the % of getting a result to 100 though? This game has a lot of ambiguous mechanics-scorpion stinging Scales is listed under both “no effect” and “removes Sting/kills user”)
That’s the interpretation that makes sense that I mentioned, it’s just…not how I would phrase that at all.
We had the same thought with your question in parenthesis. I just asked Nanook for clarification.
In response to a question: Centaur targeting a crab does not effect the crab’s chance of receiving a check—it’s still 1/3

I was told it was you - I don’t know if a centaur could randomise the result. I want to trust in clem not giving terrible results though, and that he’d provide the new target name instead of the old. I don’t think it’s worth stressing about though.
You can trust that if I was making a fake claim I’d have confirmed already what format results come in and wouldn’t be speculating about it in public lol
It’s a long class, I get breaks
(Accidental second mention of scales in the scorpion role removed)
Can I switch my vote to whoever made you go to class during pandemic szn
(Also I think the optimal play for town here today is to end the day with 2 votes on me so I can’t fish myself if I’m lying about the check on Seth and then the whateverthefuck sign that gets to vig people can vig me)
