If I get modkilled its 6 players alive 4 Town- 2 scum
If we still get to lynch Mewtwo after modkill it’s 4 town - 1 Scum or 3 town - 2 scum and the game is over anyways because Erika fucked it up and threw.
My only hesitation here is I don’t want to get banned from ranked games but honestly I think it’s Erika that gets banned here so there’s no point in not
I’m going to bed so not going to respond quickly and the following won’t be very well written. Game’s aborted regardless.
Erika was fakeclaiming.
If Erika had maintained the fakeclaim until the end of the game day there would 100% have been consequences.
I cannot in good faith punish Erika with how things played out here because they could have been planning on rescinding their claim at any point and been using the fakeclaim to get reads on people. While you can say that such a play would be bad and unnecessary it would not be “game-throwing”. For reference they had only maintained their fake cc for 2 hours at a noncritical time (the start of a new game day).
The correct thing for the players to do in the situation is to the play and game out - NOT to break rules and post their role pms. No one should ever be posting their role pm outside of special mechanics.
In this concrete case, if everyone had just played “mechanically correctly” and lynched M2H and Erika never rescinded it would be easy for me to classify their play as throwing. However due to what happened (posting of role pms) we do not know if Erika was ever planning on rescinding.
I understand that mafia can be frustrating when you think someone is losing on purpose but you should not take that matters in your own hands and break rules to make a point/accelerate the process. If we think someone is trying to lose on purpose, our staff will step in - but let them actually lose on purpose or let us make sure they’re intending on throwing. Don’t take the matter into your own hands.
