My thoughts are that Scum are more likely to have made themselves very hard to TK (or get voted out) than having bought influence this early, with the one exception of StarV. StarV could have bought a lot of influence as Scum and it would not be out of character. Chess also fits that I think. Everybody else, I would be somewhat surprised.
Hey dunya! It’s cool if you’re Town. If you’re not, and you are on the other side of these idiots (Elli/Chess/Nanook/Urist/StarV), then it’s very frustrating. I don’t think I have won a game yet where I was Scum, they were Town, and I wasn’t caught. In those instances, I get carried by other players who are better at playing Scum. Actually I mostly have good things to say about the playerlist here. So you’re in for a good one.

How does town counter this obvious mafia optimum strategy?
Yeah no I agree. I’ve been consistently saying that the low voters are more likely to contain Scum. But there’s also something to be said about having to maintain a reputation - if Chess had come in, and had I don’t know 2 votes, and a lot of defense, you would be suspicious, because you and I both know that Chess is an early target for Scum, and is capable of putting pressure where it is needed.
