So there is difference check for doggo and not mafia and how do people know this? Is this TMI?

Can someone remind me who claims the checks on each? Can we see who lied if we flip both?

Also we can see if the apples orange thing is a weird cop check or some bad word mechanic to confuse us to make this game needlessly complicated.
