My thinking is, if the thing isn’t gated, they can kill one of the people who have claimed.
If we don’t claim, then they kill bep, quin, chemist, or you (since they figured arete out) who they already know.
If we do claim, they can kill any of us, but there’s really no difference because we’ve already lost.
So if we haven’t lost/been endgamed, then the thing must be lylo-gated (or out of charges, etc)

we’re in lylo though, so we only win if for every kill we have a scumlynch.
If they get any trio royale kill, they win (barring a day where wolves literally don’t get on)

My personal theory is that the claimvig has the same language as the paralyzer:
“this ability may not be used in lylo”
that or it just happened to run out of shots.
Then being able to use it in lylo would be kinda broken tbh
